The Battle of Frayser’s Farm, also widely known as the Battle of Glendale, was fought on June 30, 1862, in Henrico County, Virginia, as the fifth engagement of the Seven Days Battles during the American Civil War. Confederate General Robert E. Lee aimed to intercept the retreating Union Army of the Potomac under Major General George B. McClellan at the critical Glendale crossroads, but his plan to bisect the Union force failed due to poor coordination among Confederate commanders and strong Union resistance.
