Please join the A. P. Hill Memorial Association on the historic occasion of the unveiling and dedication ceremony for the Obelisk marking the grave of Lt. General Ambrose Powell Hill in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper. The event will feature period music by Virginia Dare (Scott and Susan Carraway), riffle and cannon volleys, and keynote speaker, Actor/Historian Patrick R. Falci portraying A. P. Hill. As seating will only be provided for the descendants of Gen. Hill, please bring a chair. Because of the age and narrow roads in the cemetery, carpooling is strongly advised. Additional parking for ride sharing will be available at VFW Post 2524, 12210 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701, approximately 1 mile from the cemetery. The date for this event is Gen. Hill’s 199th birthday; there will be no rain date. Please pray for good weather!
