Mosby’s Men Executed in Front Royal

FRONT ROYAL, VA – Don Hakenson, current president of the Stuart-Mosby Historical Society, will deliver a poignant speech on the executions and hangings of Mosby’s men in Front Royal during the Civil War. The event is scheduled for September 23, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Mosby Monument in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal, VA 22630 This event is proudly sponsored by The John S. Hakenson, a descendant of Thomas E. Anderson, one of the men who was shot, brings a personal connection to this tragic chapter of local history. His presentation will shed light on the events surrounding these executions and their lasting impact on the community.
